Wolfram
Wolfram (tungsten) is used in the electric lamp bulb and part manufacturing industry as spiral-wound filament and as electrodes in electric arc lamps. It is also used as an alloying addition in the iron metallurgy, because it toughens steel. Because of its high density it is also used in the aviation industry as well as screening material in medical analysers and x-ray examination devices.
Tungsten carbide is used in composite metal because of its hardness as well as in semi-finished products, components, as chemical powder and compounds.
